Dog Behaviour and Training

IMG_20200820_141200_101.jpg

Hello, I’m Claudia, a canine behaviourist and trainer based in East Devon and Exeter.

I specialise in helping owners better understand their dogs’ behaviour and build confident, positive relationships through ethical, evidence-based training and behaviour support.

With professional experience working within training and behaviour roles for some of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities, alongside extensive academic study in canine behaviour, I provide practical, compassionate support tailored to both dog and owner.

My aim is to help you achieve lasting behavioural change through clear guidance, realistic training strategies, and a deeper understanding of your dog’s needs.

Whether you are struggling with behavioural concerns or simply want to build a stronger relationship with your dog, I am committed to supporting you with scientifically informed and welfare-focused methods.

Experience & Qualifications

I have spent many years developing both the practical skills and academic knowledge needed to support dogs and their owners through training and behaviour consultations.

I am a graduate of the University of Hull, holding a BSc in Canine Behaviour Management and a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training.

Through formal assessment, I have demonstrated the knowledge and understanding required for Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) membership with the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).

In addition, I hold a Canine Training Instructor qualification and maintain professional membership with the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT). This qualifies me as a Practitioner Member of the Animal Training Instructor (ATI) division of the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC).

Alongside my private behaviour and training practice, I am proud to work as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist within one of the UK's largest dog welfare, behaviour and rehoming organisations.
