About Me
I’m a passionate and experienced canine behaviourist and trainer, dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build positive, lasting relationships through ethical and evidence-based training. I bring both a personal passion for canine welfare and a strong foundation of academic and practical experience to every case I work with.
I have spent many years developing both the practical skills and academic knowledge needed to support dogs and their owners through training and behaviour consultations.
I am a graduate of the University of Hull, holding a BSc in Canine Behaviour Management and a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training.
Through formal assessment, I have demonstrated the knowledge and understanding required for Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) membership with the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).
In addition, I hold a Canine Training Instructor qualification and maintain professional membership with the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT). This qualifies me as a Practitioner Member of the Animal Training Instructor (ATI) division of the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC).
Alongside my private behaviour and training practice, I am proud to work as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist within one of the UK's largest dog welfare, behaviour and rehoming organisations.
Over the years, I have worked within leading animal welfare organisations in behaviour and welfare-focused roles.
My experience has included working with dogs in homes, rescue environments, and foster settings, helping to rehabilitate and prepare dogs for successful long-term placements with their new families.
I understand that behavioural challenges can feel overwhelming, and my aim is always to provide compassionate, practical support that helps both dogs and owners feel more confident and understood.
APBC statement:
Associate members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding for the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). They are now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a Full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its Associate members undertaking behaviour consultations.
